Taliama is a one-of-a-kind, intimate mountain community located in Sautee Nacoochee at the tail end of the Appalachian mountains in the North Georgia.

Taliama is recognized for the pristine beauty of the Appalachian Mountains, two magnificent waterfalls, and an emerging wellness campus. It will feature Basecamp, a vibrant community of cabins and adventure lodging, and a healthy spirit of adventure. We will pursue a gentle development touch with this special land and pursue ambitious built environment that seeks to achieve Net Zero status – generating as much energy as we consume. Taliama provides families, individuals and groups the opportunity to engage with a transcendent development idea in redefining the art and science of place-making, living and wellbeing.

Taliama includes 11 homesites for private cabins, a small tiny cabin village at Basecamp, and diverse public realm such as a multi-purpose gathering pavilion situated by Waterfall 1. There are multiple mediation spaces along the creeks, several fire pits and wood stacks, 2 miles of hiking trails, small Trout Pond, Mushroom garden and outdoor cooking facilities. Cultural programming is being designed to enhance the residents, members and guests experiences. All designed to enhance our well-being and the soak in the benefits of nature.

Cabins remain an iconic memory in the American psyche, whether it be Abe Lincoln’s birthplace, Thoreau’s writing studio, or an Adirondack camp. The rich American history of cabins is alive and thriving and remains a dominant force in new cabin creation.

With more and more people opting for smaller homes and simple living, the cabin continues to be a place of practicality and charm. Taliama rekindles our love for this treasured icon with fresh insight and seasoned strategies for the function, form and beauty of its design.

Cabins speak of modesty, shared spaces for the camaraderie of family and friends, and an open, relaxed atmosphere. Our cabins intend to capture the old world spirit, where life was simple, the mudroom is enough for all, and burning wood is more than just charm. Taliama - an adventure and a venture

We are designing Taliama to work on two fundamental levels - it must work as an Adventure and a Venture.

Some vignettes of Adventure:

A journey of wonderful experiences, events, and memories; leaving the city and arriving at the beautiful stillness of nature – water, rocks, trees, starry skies.

Taking a walk through the deep woods down to Waterfall 2 lagoon over the shimmering waters with the eagles flying overhead; having a glass of wine at Trout Pond.

Sitting by a campfire while a fiery sunset lights up the golden leaves of Fall, enjoying each others stories and companionship, learning about new friends.

Harvesting some Chicken of the Woods mushrooms from the Mushroom Garden for open fire cooking at the Pavilion.

Waking up to crisp, fresh air taking a hike down to Meanwhile with some hot coffee or tea, stretching on the platform creekside listening to the birds.

Some aspirations for Venture

A built cabin that accommodates a simple and functional lifestyle where the cost to maintain is modest and the surrounding experiences are prolific.

Where the investment of the cabin is worthwhile when enjoyed by yourself, family and friends but also provides a rental asset, if desired, to differ some of the expense to build and maintain long term.

The first phase of development is Basecamp, a small village of tiny cabins, gathering green and lodge. We are marching ahead with the design, engineering and building of the Main Lodge, gathering green, main parking area and orchard, and a dozen sleeping cabins.
